Our Services

Monson's Honey & Pollination specialise in all things bees and pollination. We offer a variety of services in beekeeping, crop pollination, and hive management solutions.

Pollination

Monson’s Honey & Pollination has grown to become one of Australia’s leading providers of crop pollination services. This success is the result of decades of hands-on experience, research, and practical, innovative solutions that maximise both crop quality and yield.

Our deep understanding of honeybee behaviour, combined with a passion for solving complex pollination challenges, has earned the trust of growers who depend on bees for successful crops.

Trevor Monson is a highly sought-after consultant for both government bodies and growers alike. He advises on a wide range of crops, including almonds, apples, pears, stone fruits, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, avocados, vegetables, melons, and seed crops. Many of these crops rely on bees for fruit set or significantly benefit in both quality and quantity through effective pollination.

Today, Trevor’s son Jonathan and nephew Reece continue the family legacy, developing innovative tools to elevate beekeeping and pollination services to new heights.

Auditing

Carrying forward the Monson tradition of innovation, Jonathan and Reece have developed Australia’s first beehive auditing software. This marks a major advancement beyond traditional manual hive checks.

What once involved handwritten notes and visual estimates has now evolved into a powerful, farm-wide system. Using iPads in the field, hive quality data is collected and matched with GPS and satellite mapping. Growers receive detailed reports showing hive numbers, strength, and precise placement at each site, ensuring full accountability and transparency across every drop.

The system is adaptable to a wide range of crops and is revolutionising how pollination quality is measured on farms throughout Australia.

Consulting

Trevor Monson’s interest in pollination began in the 1960s when, as a teenager, he noticed poor fruiting in a local cucumber glasshouse. He developed a simple method to keep the bees active and effective, improving the crop outcome. This early curiosity turned into a lifelong passion for pollination.

Today, Trevor is a respected pollination consultant who works with growers and government bodies across Australia. His extensive experience spans a broad range of bee-dependent crops, including almonds, apples, pears, stone fruits, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, avocados, vegetables, melons, and seed crops.
